Canada law could stop prescription drug exports to US

Legislation to change the Canadian Food and Drugs Act [text] to allow the government to ban the export of drugs as necessary will be introduced in the fall. Dosanjh said the proposed changes come in response to the possibility of the US allowing such imports and concerns about consequential shortfalls in Canadian supplies.
